Over 60 Pounds

25 + pounds of tomatoes
34 pounds of cantaloupe
4 pounds of okra and cayenne
1 pound 11 ounce eggplant

All of these were harvested in one day from my garden and all were grown from seed. Best year yet for me, and best harvest to date.

My plot is 24 x 36 feet. And only about 80% of that area (guestimated) produced what I got today.... cucumbers are almost done, honeydew has done nothing yet, and still waiting for the Habaneros and Black Pearl chilis to ripen.

That's a great harvest. You're doing good to grow eggplant and peppers from seed. That can be tough to do.

Thanks... Eggplant yes, but peppers have been easier at least for me. Last year I think it was the potting mix or something that stunted the growth of my eggplants so when I put them in the ground at only 3 inches tall, the flea beetles destroyed them. This year the seedlings were bigger and flea beetles fewer. One plant got crowded out by a massive cayenne plant but the other one survived the potato beetles and grew to full size and now has fruit.

probably so... I was just at kroger a few days ago thinking how ridiculous the price of heirloom tomatoes was. I could sell em in a stand by the road but would rather cook with them, use them fresh or give them away.
