Anybody got this knife? How do you sharpen the gutting blade? I took my Work Sharp to it and made it worse. Now it's duller than a butter knife. What am I doing wrong?

I got one. I've only sharpen gutting blade once in 2 years. I used ceramic rods thats set up in an X, if you know what I'm talking about. Do it lightly, don't get rough with it. That blade has a very brittle edge if abused.

I think the instructions said to sharpen it with a scissor sharpener.

My Grandson got me one for Christmas a few years ago. It keeps an edge really well and is now my favorite hunting knife.
I have only sharpened the gut hook once and I used the work sharp sharpener with the fine grit belt and hit it a few licks with a wet rock, it'll shave hair.
If you've not tried the fine grit belt try it again and use a wet rock for the final sharpening.
