Figured someone here would know.

The weeds in my yard are blooming and seem very happy. Sprayed weed B gone yesterday.

When Should I overseed fescue to try and have an actual lawn this year instead of the multi colored weed patch I normally have?

Fescue is a cool season grass and should be overseeded in the Fall. September or October.

You can overseed in the Spring but I prefer to use this time applying preemergent and weed killer which would affect young grass.

Uh oh...
Does that mean that I need to plant a different type of grass?

If I kill all the weeds my yard is going to look like the infield of a baseball diamond. Gotta get some kind of grass going.

you can plant bermuda in may. sunlight permitting.

However Bermuda is a creeping grass and will take over everything. It is also dormant in the fall/winter = brown/dead.

Positive is its drought tolerant.

Im just trying to get the yard looking good to help sell the house.

SO would Bermuda be good to seed now for a nice spring/summer lawn?

Thanks for the help. I dont know what grows well in your yard here, except for weeds that is!
