Haven't ordered any in a couple years but with the place I normally buy them being down due to the tornado that came through in December I decided to go ahead and get some.
Ordered them yesterday and went home and dug the cricket box out of the shop.
Got an email this morning saying they will be delivered tomorrow.
Then I noticed they were coming USPS.
Oh well, MAYBE they will show up.
Coming from Louisiana so I bet ya they come through Memphis.
If so, I doubt I ever get them while they are still alive.

Thought about doing it again, but I have done it two years with crickets from different places and they don't seem to live long. I mean half dying within a week or so. I built a cricket box with a thermostat controlled light for heat and disinfected box between years. Don't know that it is worth it.

TJ's on 54 at intersection Palmersville hwy had crickets last year. I had to get my own one time. Lady was afraid of them.LOL
I haven't checked yet this time.

Catching them so far on panfish magnet.

Anywhere over at Mckenzie or at Huntingdon sell live bait if I was going over there?

Been getting some minnows out at the Tackle Box when I was in Paris but don't need them now. Seems to be a winter , early spring thing that I do better with them sometimes than jigs.

Getting to where it is a real challenge with the weather, wind, lack of bait shops, parking. Price of gas, and googans. Lol

You can get them at countryside grocery
In leach just past the 1000 acre lake on 70. It's approximately 1 mile past the turn you take to the lake

The real thing will usually work best.
Years ago my wife was with me out Garrett and we passed by the "bed" ( before everybody discovered it) while we were bass fishing. I had one fly box with me that had some fake crickets and other rubber insects. We wore them out for a pretty good while, but I bet the real thing would have been a lot better.

I was out there Wed and there was a guy camped out on that spot nearly all day long. That bed will be fished to death now to July.

The last two times I have been there someone has been staked down on it the entire time I was there.

Ruger, who you buying them from? I got the box out and soaped down good an rinsed it out. Let the rain rinse some and air and sun dry for a few days then try again.
I ordered from a different place this time due to alot cheaper shipping.

Previously I used

I just put my order in for 20#'s of fathead minnows that should arrive on the 19th. I usually toss in 20#'s twice a year in the pond. I'm in the process of thinning out the cats and bass as much as I can cause I'm going strictly pie plate size panfish over the next few years.

Ruger -- I know you've said you are a big fan of the Gulp minnow. I was curious if you had tried any of the other Gulp items for panfish. When I'm fishing for shell crackers and perch, I normally use live bait but saw some Gulp red wigglers and crickets the other day. I bought them but haven't used them as of yet. A buddy of mine would always go buy 3-4 boxes of meal worms for shell crackers but he said he had quit using them and gone to using the Gulp version.

I have some red worms night crawlers and crickets but I haven't tried any of them yet.
