Optima or impact?

May look into getting a new ML and pretty much down to these 2. Like the Accura as well but a tad more then I wanna spend and don't know much about traditions. Had an optima before and it was ok, don't know the difference between the version2 and the old one I had.

I plan on shoot BH209 with whichever one not that makes a huge difference.

I had an optima before and it shot great but the one thing i didnt like about it was some of the cheap plastic on it. Maybe the v2 is a bit better in that area but i understand thats just what you are going to get with a gun in that price range.

I loved my optima. Shot great. I don't have any experience with the other. For the money I'd say its hard to beat an optima.

i shoot a cva and dad shoots a traditions and i wouldn't hesitate to buy either one. both are driving tacks. personally i love the optima and accura. and im about to buy an optima.

I love the stock on the accura but man not sure I want to shell out the extra $ for a gun I'm gonna use for 2 weeks

that's why im going with the optima im not paying the extra for it. for two weeks of season ill go with the optima all day long they shoot awesome to.

I have 3 versions of the Optima, rifle, pistol and shotgun and love them all. Not the greatest thing out there but for the $$ it will do the job.

I've never messed with the Optima but I hunt with a Impact and love it. It is simple and accurate, my kind of gun.

impact stock feels A LOT cheaper.

Optima for me as well, easy to tear down to clean, beautiful breech plug that removes with your fingers. That or go with the stainless steel cva wolf.

The good thing about the accura you can change the barrels out I have one it and my father in law has a optima they shot about the same but the only good thing is the accura you can change the barrels the bad thing is buying scopes for them and base mounts so its a lot more expensive plus when you get to the range you have to take forearm stock off to change out barrels it gets time consuming but other then that they shot about the same

I bought the optima last year and brother bought the wolf. Both are accurate! Love my optima

I had a wolf before I bought my accura it was nice little muzzleloader to I feel its more of a youth gun so I bought the accura and put the wolf up for my son to extend his hunting year this year hopefully he will put the hammer down on one for the first time

Look hard at the Omega before you buy an Impact. Wally World puts them on clearance for under $200 after the season is over.

If you have any interest at all in the Omega, you're welcome to borrow mine (Z5) and see how you like it. I'm not recommending it over the other 2 you're looking at... just tossing it out there in case you're interested.

Personally, I wish I'd have bought something with the "break action" for easier cleaning. However, I got my Omega for a good price and couldn't complain.

I like the shape/form/comfort of the stock on the Optima also.

Also... I don't know diddly about the traditions pursuit ultralight... but "ultralight" doesn't sound like something I want in an MZ. The things kick bad enough. Or maybe I'm just a wimp.

I would stick with the optima if I was dead set on one of the two, just not a fan of traditions!! the ultralight does kick harder and is a lot more picky on loads than the optima, good luck with your purchase

I have the pursuit lt and love it and it does it feel better than the optima in yhe hands. The optima gets less blowback i know mine will get blowback and make breaking the gun over harder
