I got this gun from my dad that was new and put a good set of bases rings and vortex diamondback. Triple7 pellets and hornady bore drivers. Gun shoots ok at 50 but falls apart at 100. Change bullets or powder
No you don't need to change it, your breech plug is fine to shoot triple 7 loose powder.Do I have to change breech plugs to shoot loose powder or just change for black horn?
Might take some time at the range to find a combo that rifle likes. Personally, I'd ditch the pellets and go with loose powder. It'll allow you to fine tune the load. If those bore drivers still won't shoot, then try another bullet. Just like any other rifle, it likes what it likes and doesn't what it doesnt.I got this gun from my dad that was new and put a good set of bases rings and vortex diamondback.
