Opening Red Snapper FL

FL decided to open up Snapper Season for the 3 day weekend. I was hesitant about the crowds. But the weather Saturday and Sunday was awesome with flat seas, A buddy i graduated college with joined me and we were able to make quick work, catching limits almost instantly, and feeling the cooler with some vermillion and trigger fish, also caught a huge gag grouper but out of season. Great Weekend and company….. On Monday the Wife and I went back out and couldn't hardly buy a bite……. Thats why they say it's fishing and not catching

Nice! Caught a descent mess of vermillion a week or so ago. Probably could have limited of the dang dolphins didn't find us early and follow us the remainder of the trip

Yes sir we had a good weekend as well. Reds, BB's, Mangroves, short triggers couple mahi. Some nice Gags we threw back. Much calmer than the last 2 years Memorial opener in AL.
