Opening morning

Am I the only one that it takes a trip or two to get in the groove. I don't mean getting the drive to go. I mean seems like I always like a little something to do. Like this year, where I am hunting opening day, I need to install a new pull rope and hook to hang my pack on. Also, kinda seems like it takes a time or two to get a feel of where I have everything located or something.

I agree I get in the groove after a couple hunts. I will say the first couple hunts of the year I'm the most focused. After a few hunts I start to "chill out" a little bit lol

I always seem for get something, whether it be important or small, early or late in the season.

It certainly can be overwhelming. We finally get to hunt, and it gets us so excited we overthink everything.

our openers are more a social get-away campout than a serious hunting trip. i'll get serious on tuesday.
