Lets hear a report from your hunt this morning. put the county you hunted and what you saw.
Hunted Rutherford County.
Got in the stand a little behind schedule, but it still was not legal to shoot. Got settled in and waited. about 6:30 a doe busts our of the wood line into the power line break and runs down towards my stand. I see her mouth is open and her tongue is hanging out. She stops broadside at 30 yds. I sit there and turn to get ready and sure enough here comes the buck. A giant 4 pt. he ran her back into the woods and then zig zagged in and out of the woods back the way they came.
it got quiet until about 8 had a doe cross the power line and make her way into the woods and down towards my stand. I was keeping an eye on her, but watching where she crossed. Sure enough there is a deer behind her. I scope it, and its a spike. I take my eye off the scope and look out in front of me and she is standing broadside at about 45 yds. I put her on the scope, and think about it, then decide the buck isn't running her yet, but she is probably close, so she turns and trots off the direction she came from and the spike just kept working down the wood line until he hit the trail where the doe went in at 6:30 then he started following that trail...
All in all a good morning. Got down, noticed a bunch of new rubs around my stand, the scrape is back where it was last year, pee'd in it and went home.
