Way to hot for me, and I'm not really ready to start just yet anyway.

Hopefully by the first frost I'll be good to go.

But will probably use the carbon shafts to start with.
 
In a tree waiting on daybreak, first time to step in the woods with a recurve! I'm excited to start with traditional gear
 
Had to miss it. 1. Dad in hospital. Had a TAVR valve and pacemaker installed.
2. Rained this morning.

Make sure they keep an eye on the bp, I've heard of people having issues after surgery from internal bleeding.

I'm not trying to scare anyone here , but just be very cautious after surgery when the patients bp is dropping .

BP is the reason we're still in the hospital. Dropped on him last night. Supposed to have headed home today.

Thanks. BP back up. Kidney function not where it's needs to be. Doc said that is keeping him in at least one more night. :Deep breath:

Heart valve and pacemaker surgery went well. Docs think the strain of the surgeries put additional strain on the kidneys and prostrate. Looking at rehab facility for short term and hopefully those issues will clear up to where he can return to assisted living
 
My dad and my father in law have both had open heart surgeries but for different reasons. I know it's a tough surgery but both of them over cane it and have done well, praying for the same with your father.
 
Dad had open heart surgery back in '07. Most valves only last 10-12 years. This one is a TAVR. Google it. Basically a stent with a valve, inserted by Cath procedure. Dad's 85. Doc said he wouldn't survive the old way.

Paperwork is being processed for transfer to rehab now. I may get to hunt this weekend.
