I have been checking the weather channel every chance I get... Giving a WNW wind @ 7 for opening day here in my little part of TN. Everybody know where they're heading that morning yet??

Yup. Set my blind up last Saturday. Hopefully one will come cruising by about daylight or so. If that wind holds it'll be right in my face.

The forecast for the county I am hunting in has changed 3 times in the past 24 hours. The wind predicted on accuweather now says WSW for me which is the worst for the setup I want to hunt opening day (yesterday it was ESE which would be great). And now, instead of 70 degrees, they are predicting 90 degrees. For a little while they were predicting some rain, now there is no rain in the forecast. This is one of the waiting things that drives me crazy :).

I feel your pain! I know it's only preseason excitement, but I am going nuts with the weather changing and trying to line up a hot spot accordingly.

I'm not even worrying about the forecast until about 2 days before. Then I'll make some plans.

You couldnt have said it any better. Trying to follow the weather this far out is like trying to predict how many bowl movement youl have tommorrow.

Sadly Kevin when i checked the 15 day forecast on accuweather, 15 on the 8th, the forecast for Rutherford count was high of 70 with morning temps in the 40's..... Now it looks like those upper 40's AM temps will be here around W-TH of next week. :(

On our Rhea County lease Saturday and Sunday in a buddy stand with my little buddy. Hoping he gets his first with a xbow.

Then heading to LBL on Monday for 3 or 4 days if the weather is fitting. Cant believe its that time again!

day before I will check Weather Underground for wind direction. There will be a 95% probability they will be wrong.

Then I will check the NWS site and see which way the prevailing wind is blowing at the closest weather station and make a guess what stand area to hunt.

I check the weather as I walk out the door then go find out what it really is and hope I have a set up that works... Out of 30+ stands I'm sure Saturday morning I will be in a tree waiting on a big fat doe.

im just excited about the temps... right now mine is saying high 71 low 41... that will be awesome for opening day if it holds steady like that...

My decision is tough. Acorns are dropping pretty much over whole property. Got some good bucks on camera at different location. Made a little scouting trip and so no concentration of deer sign around any group of oaks. It makes for a tough decision.

This Saturday will be my first time deer hunting. I'll be in a tree in Smithville. Yes, I do have a harness. :) Wish me luck!

The Saturday morning cold front won't be anywhere near as strong as the front going through mid-week this week, but it will drop the temps a few degrees and shift the wind to the north by late Saturday.

The kids have football and soccer games Saturday morning... so I won't be in a tree until Saturday evening. Plan is:

Lewisburg Saturday Evening
College Grove Sunday morning
Pulaski Sunday evening

Wife is going with me on all 3... hoping she can put that new crossbow to use.
