There has been some interest in an opening day Squirrel Hunt/ Campout. Camping on the friday before season and everyone hunting the next morning. Family friendly environment kids welcome. So far we have a tentative list of who wants to go.

Please let me know if you are interested and I will add your name to the list. If anyone has ideas suggestions please chime in.

So far everyone wants to have it @ Yanahli WMA Southeast of Columbia,TN Just off I-65 1 hour south of Nashville.

Checked out yanahali today. It looks great. Lots of hickory and red oak. Hickory nuts off to a great start. Rollin hills and bottomland. I was off hwy 50. Even saw a couple gray squirrels while walking behind the range. I only checked out the hwy 50 area, but was impressed with woods. Really pretty. Should be able to kill some squirrels, no problem. Plenty of crops to boot.
 
I would love to bring the boys but that may be a lil far to travel for a bushytail.
 
I know I was the organizer but I will not be able to make it down. My wife and I have not been home in about 6 weeks because of various reasons due to our home being remodeled and other obligations. So I will be stuck there prepping the house to have flooring put down. I hope to hunt somewhere local. I hope everyone shoots a limit.
