I'm getting fired up! Opening season is almost upon us. What is going to be your opening day rig?

encore, 270 stainless, 130gr hornady sst topped with a nikon monarch.
I think my opening day rifle will be the Browning A Bolt 270. My last 6 deer were with 260 REM or 243 WIN, and my Browning is getting really jealous of them. You should hear the teasing it gets in the gun safe.
Oh, 130 gr Nosler BT with max charge of IMR 4350. I've got about 20 such rounds I want to use up before switching to 130 gr Hornady SSTs.
My grandaughter will be using the Ruger Compact in 243 with 95 gr Hornady SST and 33 gr of H4895, getting 2660 fps at the muzzle and almost no kick at the shoulder.

Remington 700 7mag topped with a Nikon Buckmaster...possibly with 150 gr Remington Coreloks. Going shooting this weekend to test the rounds.
No telling....so many options may take one of my BARs hav not used them in a long time.
Weatherby Vanguard 30-06, 150gr Ballistic Tip, Leupold Rifleman 3-9x40 and a 10mm for back up or 25yd & closer shots. Although, I am going to shoot some does w/an AR this year.

Tika 270, 130gr federal premium nosler ballistictips, nikon monarch gold 2.5 x 10 x 42 with talley mounts.it's .25 inch groups and light weight has made it my favorite little rig!
ought to to put thomping on them and maybe at both ends LOL
