went out and watched over one of my spots and had 83 birds fly down to the field...at one time there were 22 toms strutting at the same time!!

man i am pumped for opening morning but obviously they are still in some winter flocks. On my other spot i saw alot of birds but was still seeing big groups of hens and groups of toms still grouped together.

dang I was at the WMA for a few hours today doing a lot of walking and looking and all I saw were some scratches and a feather, I dont know where the birds were today but the weather was real nice.

Awesome man, good luck this spring!!

i am going sometime this week and site in a blind i build on the edge of the field. This time i will be bringing my video camera so i will upload it to youtube and post it when i get out. Should be fun!

yeah i am going on wed morning barring the rain and taking my video and regular camera with me while i sit in a blind i have out there. if they did like they did on sat then they should be about 35yds from me. I will definitely post them if i they fly down to it on wed.

well you guys are going to love the video i got this morning. Had about 80 birds or so fly down and were about 20-50yds from me. a ton of long beards, a few jakes and 4 bearded hens.

they were gobbling and fighting like crazy all morning. I got a few good pics and some decent video on my flip camera i will be splicing together and uploading around lunch. It was absolutely awesome to sit and hear/watch it all going down.

That is AMAZING! It's good to be YOU!

I would say "good luck" but you probably don't need it with that many birds running around. I just hope you are careful not to get trampled!
