Opening day activity report???

I got busted waking in and that dang doe blew at least 40 times but thankfully she ran off a good ways before she started her fuss. Jumped several others trying my best to be quiet but no chance with the leaves. Still managed to see 6 bucks 2 does so far. One buck was a shooter I'm pretty sure but I only got a glimpse of him twice for a second while he was running some does but only saw the one. the other bucks were 1.5 or 2.5 yr olds by themselves just munching. Gonna set for a couple more hours still...what's your activity been???


Oh yeah forgot to mention I watched 2 squirrels get it on about 10 feet away...that was something different to see....lol :D

Saw bucks chasin does on the way to work this mornin on dads road. Almost ran over a decent 8. Wish I was huntin

Nothing this morning. I picked the wrong stand all of my buddy's are seeing deer

Watched two fawns run around like chickens with their heads cut off for about ten minutes.

Seen 4 does. 1 is currently in a food plot and another is in the woods 200 yards away. Heard some running around earlier and assumed some chasing going on it never saw them

Killed a big doe and two little does. There were 2 or 3 more with them.

Notta my buddy got his first ,a spike and he saw a biggun and some does!funny how that works we wernt too far apart but I'm glad he finally killed one and with a bow to boot!

Had a good 6 pt at daylight cruising a rub line come by.2 does at 730,spike at 8,3 more does at 9 with no chasing in Carroll County.

4 bucks - 1 had cool set of antlers - big high 4 on 1 side & cow horn on the other side. watched a 3 point make a scrape & a 4 point tear a sapling up. You would have thought he was king of the woods. overall a really cool morning in the woods

Saw a decent 10 at 8:00 a doe-fawn at 9 then two spikes came in together around 10:15 then a decent eight came blasting through at 11. They all got a pass today.

Shoot a fat doe at 8:45 this morning, on Bledsoe State Forest, followed 10minutes later by a button buck. Nice way to kick off the season & christen my rifle!

seen 5-6 bucks this a.m. the one i shot was chasing them away from him this was all @ 7 am in the middle of our cut over hay/scrub field,i seen 2 does and 3 yealings 500+ yds away feeding on acorns not 1 buck bothered em

Spooked a few that were almost under my stand tree walling in before first light. 1 hr after daybreak I had a few does come in, followed by what I thought was a big bodied 6 or 8pt thru the thick stuff. He chased the does around grunting like crazy. I shot him and it ended up being a 4pt with a pig-like body, fat roman nose, and long main beams. His neck was very swollen and he smelled STRONGLY of musk.

Decided to set over my clover and oat plot this morning. Saw 12 deer all does. On the way out saw 4 more does decided to shoot the straggler in the back. Cant seem to see any horns so far but got some meat in the freezer none the less.

I had deer come behind me through the thick stuff but never could see them. About 9 this motning I had a 130" 8 pointer cross the powerline 188 yards out but couldn't get a shot off. That was the day's crop.
