I had a great weekend, man the bucks were moving, I saw 10 different bucks in 2 morning hunts, saturday morning around 6:30 I saw a buck working on a tree, so I grunted a series of grunts then hit the can a couple of times and here he comes right to me with a small 6 pter. He was a nice 8 pter heavy horns at 10 yards and I passed him up. So I watch him walk off then he started checking a couple of does as they cam in. About 15 minutes later I see this one come in at around 50 yards, I was glassing him could tell he was wide but it seemed his horns was one of a younger deer.Well as he started walking away quartering away he seemed wider and at 80 yards I saw an opening and dropped the hammer. He is a 2.1/2 year old, 3.1/2 inch bases and 18 inch spread. Man thick cover and trying to judge blame bucks is a tuff one, but we live and learn. No regrets nice buck, one tag filled. Whats funny is the buck at 10 yards was heavier and thicker horned, man wider spreads tare me up!! :/
