Decommits will happen, and they will reopen their recruitment, as they should. It is the smart thing to do.

It will be up to the next staff to turn them back.

There may be some current players leave, but it won't happen until after the season and a new coach is named and they see how they might fit.

Anyone leaving now is just doing it because they aren't playing and see the writing on the wall as to not being as good as other players at their position.

This will rustle some of the extra angry Butch haters pretty good but I have seen it stated by a couple of "insiders" that Cade Mayes has opened up his recruitment because he is good friends with the Jones family(he plays ball right now with Butchs son) and he thinks, or knows, Butch will be fired and he WANTS to play for him.

Now IDK if that is true or not and given the results provided recently, if it is true, one has to wonder WTH is he thinking.

I ain't buying it. They may very well be friends, but he has been attending UT ball games since he was a baby, probably. Orange is in his blood.

BTW, his dad use to post on TnTurkey, and probably lurks on here. He and the boys were/are big hunters.

He may still end up signing with TN anyway but if orange was in his blood as you say this wouldnt even be an issue.

This will be one to watch because he's a legacy player. I think he ends up at TN because he's been committed since his sophmore year. His family bleeds orange but I do find it interesting that his recruitment is now in question.

Also CBJ future is also interesting because UT has a brand new AD. There's a lot of moving parts and I believe the SC game against Muschamp after a bye week will be a big deciding factor for all parties involved. Just my two cents but probably not worth a penny.

IMO Butch and the team has not been the same since the whole Title IX thing.

Jones is 0-4 against Muschamp. Just sayin.

Muschamp is known for being a defensive guru. He seems to be able to coach against the spread option. He has beat UT with a QB that could run it and also QBs that couldn't. Odds are in Muschamps favor with a non-running QB.

They lost to SC last year coming off a bye week. Losing to SC again at home, coming off a bye, with a less than stellar crowd and then going to Bama and getting skull drug will finish him off.

Still hearing that JJ is now where to be seen around the team. I know he had surgery but he doesn't even attend team meetings or anything. This came from a players mom. She also said that about a quarter of the team is the ones that are "stirring crap up" and the rest of them are just fine.

Word is that he "doesn't like going to class", and most think that he is done, and may try to enter the draft.

If that's true, it's more evidence that Butch is in over his head. If he can't control his locker room, he has no business coaching at this level.
