Only ONE lure

You are going bass fishing.
You can only take ONE lure or bait.

My son's would be a white fluke with chart dip and a 5/0 ewg gamagatzu (sp?) hook.

Mine would be a pumpkinseed with chart tail lizard with the same dip and hook as my son's except mine would be a worm hook.


So, what ya gonna take?

Depends on time of year, lake, tournament fishing or not, etc., but if I had to pick just one for tournament fishing year round it would be a green pumpkin jig. You can flip it, pitch it, drag it, swim it, stroke it, and about everything else in between.

For just numbers, it would be hard not to pick a shakey head with a finesse worm.

Pearl white fluke, weightless on 8lb line and a 5/0 hook.. I've caught more 4lb+ smallmouth on that than anything year round...

Odd that I haven't seen many people mention a texas rigged worm. That would be my choice. Seems like the old plastic worm is a lost art these days.

1/2 ounce jig, black/blue with paca chunk trailer or green pumpkin with trailer. I dont care what i throw as long as its a jig!!!!!
