The one true dynasty in college football won its 13th national title in its 20th try last night. In a defensive battle in cold and windy Salem, VA last night, the Mount Union Purple Raiders shut out Mary Hardin Baylor (TX) last night 12-0. The last Stagg Bowl to be played in Salem, which is sad as it has become sort of a home away from home for the Raiders.
Larry Kehres' son Vince now coaches the Raiders. It's Vince's second D3 title. The elder Kehres was inducted into the college football hall of fame along the Steve Spurrier and Danny Ford last week.
