One eye or 2

I'm subscriber to Eastman's Bowhunting, and they had an interesting article (jan-feb, 2011) about training yourself to shoot with both eyes open, not just one.

I've tried it and while I do trust I can do it, I want a lot more time to shoot this way. It's pretty amazing how well you can see your target. I'm going to try and transition to shooting this way full time.

Anyway, do any of your guys shoot this way, or have your tried? It's something you should try.

When I use my bow with sights, I use one eye. But if I shoot without sights I can shoot with them both open.

Most of the time I shoot with both eyes open, but I do close one eye to verify the pin is correct, then I focus on the target, then sight alignment, sight picture, and a slow steady squeeze!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shoot with both eyes open sometimes but i have to be careful that i dont....in an effort to see better......switch to the left eye and screw up!.....

i shoot everything but a scoped rifle with both eyes open.

Both....it's the only way you can effectively see arrow flight and impact...makes a big differenct on how you track.

I only got one ey so thats the one i use. I was right eye dominant before my acident had to learn to shoot lefty. That was a chore but no problem now.

My buddy does this. From a form perspective it isn't "correct" but for people who get started shooting righthanded when they should have started left its a lot cheaper and easier fix. You can be plenty successful doing it with one eye. I started shooting traditional which was both eyes open so anything other than both eyes feels liek I'm half blind.

Sure fire way tp train yourself to jerk head away to look for your arrow IMO.

FYI- The greatest shooters in the world shoot with both eyes open! (unless their wrong eye is dominant)
