It certainly wouldn't be unprecedented. One year when I was still farming back in the early '90s, we had an extremely wet spring. A lot of crops got planted later than normal, but still within the correct time frame. However, the rains just stopped in early July. The year ended up wetter than average, but the summer and fall were drought conditions. Needless to say, crop yields were much less than optimal.I wonder if we could get the entire year's worth of "average rainfall" in during the first half of the year?
Rainy days gives some great testing periods where wind is as calm as it gets. Don't write them off. My flags have been still several times as of late up here on the mountain.I heard it was going to not rain for a day or two, twas a joke apparently. Rain all this week is predicted as well, so no time to dry out, and definitely no time to shoot (practice or test)in this mess. You've probably got a nice grassy range field to walk across too tho, not the sloppy red dirt/mud at the range to walk/wade thru
I've shot in the rain before and did good, but raining and pure mud to walk back and forth thru, I'd rather hold out for a little drying out, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do I reckon.
Man it came a toad strangler last night down here.
