The Japanese be knowin how to make an egg and for that matter omelets. Don't let em fool you. They make this one thing "omu rice " (may be butchering the name or misremembering but it looks awesome.

Sure is. I've done it with sliced ham, sautéed onions and peppers and shredded cheese. All in vacuumed sealed bags. All you have to do is boil water. Not really relevant to the OP, but this has its place.
Yeah I've done that more than once. Eats fine. Doesn't look as purdy.

This! An omelet must have, at a minimum, sausage, bacon, or both, plus bell pepper and cheese. That's minimum!

The only thing I enjoy eating more than vegetables is meat. Pizza? Drag it through the garden and load it with meat. Burgers? Uneatable because I pile everything else on top. Omelet? It's just scrambled eggs with stuff.

FYI, if you've never crisped up leftover BBQ meat in the skillet and added it to your omelet, you've never truly lived.

Agree on the leftover BBQ. Even just dirty eggs with BBQ is bomb

Sorry, don't want a flat omelet. Also, all one color (yellow), definitely no brown. Rolled up like a burrito and fluffy.

Had an omelet for supper again last night. Sorry no pics, I was too hungry to fart around with the phone.

Gonna have to give that a try.

Pretty, but if it doesn't have pulled pork or crab meat (different recipes) in it, is'5t going to make my top 10.
Im glad you posted this! Wife had company Christmas dinner, (spouses not allowed?) and brought home some leftover pulled pork. I made an omelet with the leftovers and found it to be FANTASTIC!
