Something I got off of GBO. Can't vouch for the accuracy of the post though.

"Thompson customer support said the only difference is that the z5 has williams sites on it and that the pull down actions pivot point is attached to a welded lug on the bottom of the omega barrels. On the z5 barrels the pivot peice is bolted on. I have not seen a matte finish one yet, but the only ones I have seen are blue composites. The price difference between the omega and the z5 with both finishes the same and the black composite stock is about 100 dollars. I have not seen the underside of the barrel but I think I would rather have the bolt on pivot peice because it can be easily replace."

I like mine. It shoots great, and I'm sure it will shoot better if I tried different combinations of bullets/powder. Wish I had a thumbhole stock though.
