UT Grad-He was using a TC Thunderhawk .50 cal. My home made measure holds about 70g of loose Triple7 which seems to be a really good load. Most hunters use a lot more powder but I have never seen a need for more. I have been using Triple7 for about 3-4 years I guess-before that I was using loose Pyrodex RS out of the same measure. The bullet was a plain lead Knight 310 sabotted slug. I have used a lot of these-they are really accurate, inexpensive, and kill well too. Tristan killed his first deer with this rifle 3 years ago so it is sort of special for him-it will be his. It has been a great ml-accounting for about 30-35 deer I would guess. I had to send the stock back to TC last year as the web that the recoil lug bears against cracked. TC replaced it free of charge and I noticed that the new stock had been redesigned with a reinforced web at that area. I guess mine wasn't the only one. TC is a great company for supporting their products and they make quality equipment. Plateau Hunter
