Thinking about setting up in a spot on our property that hasn't been hunted in about 3 years. White Oak filled ridge that boarders a known bedding area that boarders a field. We have left it alone giving it the title of "sanctuary " for the deer but Im beginning to wonder if we our wasting one of the best spots on our property. Any thoughts?

This a pic of said spot. Just inside the woods behind small field

How much property do you have? A lease I was on a few years ago had a big cut over approx 100 acres and we titled that our sanctuary.. last few peices of property I've been on with leases we don't have 1.... id put some cameras back there to start at least and see if in fact your right.

Just a quick follow up on this. Hunted it Saturday morning. Looked Great. Rubs and Scrapes everywhere. Only saw a 5pt and a spike with a doe but will definitely be going back in a few weeks for ML. All in all worth the effort to head back there...lot of sign...lot of potential.

We have our sanctuaries for a reaason. When the hunting gets tough, it is hard to stay out but it seems to work better in then long run if we stay out of them. They eventually come out..
