Old Marlin 336

I'd like to find a 336 that my son and I could reblue and refinish the stock

I removed the old blue with a strong solvent. Can't remembet the name but cold bluing is a disaster. AMHIK. May be di-chloro di-fluoro ethane?

I'm trying to find an older one to tinker with. I'm trying to find a project that I can do with my son and grandson.

I have a 35 marlin 336 made in 1967. Really good condition. However, my soon to be son in law has first dibs. These rifles are selling for far more than I paid for it. I have no plans of cutting him too much slack.

Did you tie him to a tree and have a continuous playing coyote call? Just saying…….

If you love hunting thickets, like I do, there may be no better rifle than a Marlin 336, which is my favorite gun for that kind of hunting.

I paid $184 for my first rifle in 1984 i saved for when I was 13. It was a marlin 336 from wally world. Even junkers are 350 now. Good ones $900.
