I had a meeting that took me past the land where I hunt a few weeks ago. I was only afforded about 50 minutes to sit right before dark, so I sat in an area low on the property that was easy to get to. Well, this guy walked out about 10 mins before legal light faded. I had him in the crosshairs, but noted that one side of his rack was a little wonky and thought he might have been hit by a car on that side or was recovering from some other injury. I have no previous pictures of him on camera, but I never monitor this area, as it is right next to the road and close to where I park my car, normally. After I saw him I put out a camera in that location to see what else I could find out about him.
After checking him out on camera, I think I should have taken him. This is in a non-agricultural area (no corn or beans close by), with mostly wooded hills and hollers. His nutrition sources are somewhat limited. I think this buck to be 6.5+. What are y'alls thoughts on age?
