Can anyone tell me anything about Old Hickory? I have a small invite tournament to go to there in September and have no clue about the lake. I am told that's it's just like Barkley?

I have never fished Barkley but grew up on Old Hickory Lake. I have had most success fishing logs etc on banks with harder bottoms. I mainly always used soft plastics (lizards or worms) in pumpkin seed color rigged both Texas and Carolina. Try a Texas Ring fry too rigged with bullet sinker, glass bead then hook. I never fished much in fall due to hunting but the bass will probably be in jumps and you might try flukes. Dont forget the black/blue jig n pig. Not as many bites for me but better quality fish on the jig n pig.
