Old Hickory to Cordell Hull

Well I just moved up to the Hendersonville area so I guess its time to start fishing Old Hickory up to Cordell Hull. I'm not looking for anyone's spots just general information. I'm really looking to catch striper and walleye. I have planer board and about everything else. The only thing I do not have is down riggers. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Stripers ....Gallatin Steam Plant in the winter,now find the old Lock 5 dam above 231 bridge,about a mile up river from the bridge.
