Old Hickory not generating

Dang just checked the schedule and OH is not generating till further notice. Guess the rain better come soon

Can't get my little trolling motor powered boat too close to the spill way because of the current but I can easily catch skipjack and cast into the spillway for stripers. I can only hope I find some shad with the cast net though.

Yeah they are keeping the spillways going to take car of any barge traffic and such!!

The spillways are for water quality... not sure how they affect the barges though. Only the occasional discharge from the lock so a barge can come in or out.

The reason they are running the spillways until further notice is to sustain the water levels for the barge traffic. I read it on the tva Facebook page or somewhere in the last few days.
Edit....And yes I just noticed where it was to improve water quality ... I don't know where I read about the barge deal. Must be having bad dreams.lol

that would make sense for the barges too.... Water can get shallow down the river

That's how they're on Cordell right now. It has a pretty good flow and they seem to run at least one generator about 30-40% of the time !!
