Oldest buck I've killed...
8.5 years old, shot him at 10 am crossing a wide open wheat field from the bed of my truck. Parked the truck where 3 fields intersected, and sat on my cooler with the rifle on bipod on the roof of the truck.

Doe on top was a 2.5. Doe on the bottom only had 4 teeth left in her head besides her front teeth. She had a broad head buried in her spine. No telling how many times she has busted me.

2 years ago I killed 2 does during bow season on different WMAs both at least 6.5 years old. Killed a couple 5.5 year old does since then and my oldest buck was pushing 5.5 but I think the old bucks are much tougher to kill than the old does. I've killed a handful of old does but only one older buck.

6.5 is the oldest buck I have ever had aged, 12.5 for a doe, killed her at LBL and when they aged her she basically just had nubs worn down to the gums. I wish I could find the pics, was back in the 35mm camera days so dont know what I did with them. She still field dressed at 120 lbs by the way so she was eating plenty. She did look rough with split ears and scars on her face like a buck?
My Dad killed a big Doe on same hunt they aged at 8.5
