This deer is at least 6 years old...I have a few ugly old dudes like this because no one will waste a tag anymore on a deer under 120 inches

I'd burn one on em! I'm a sucker for old deer with character

Especially with multiple bucks tags, I would not hesitate to kill one I knew for sure was 6.

Nothing wrong with leaving him in the herd unless he's a bully and beating on the younger bucks with better scoring antlers. He does look quite a bit underweight for his age, however.

I've got one that is 7.5 years old this year. I've posted pics of him in the past... got hit by a car at 3.5 and crushed one side of his head in and blinded him in that eye. He only grows a half rack since then. We've had multiple chances to kill him over the years, but we all feel sorry for him and he's kinda one of our mascots.

I do have 2 other 6.5 y/o's that are culls this year that I will not hesitate to blast, one especially is a bully and notorious for breaking racks on other bucks, but we haven't seen him in daylight since he turned 4.5.

He is under weight because he hurt his left hip 2 years ago, I could've killed him 2 years ago but was after a big scoring deer..I have 4 years of pix of him too!

Lotta yummy burger and sausage and a few not too tough steaks for the firepit right there. Also, if he's old and a bully, he's runnin your up n comers off every chance he gets. Kill'im first chance you get.

Once they hit 5.5 or older, we started killin'em regardless of headgear. In that time the younger bucks that stuck around and grew has been notable.
