take a drive up to Ft.Loudon and shoot them right in front of Calhouns in Lenoir City. they feed them the old bread everyday. Ive never seen some many before. they are stacked up on top of each other that they come out of the water

just go after they close so all the rich people wont see anything..lol. Im telling you they are everywhare around that place. last summer we stoped and ate and my nephew was trying to catch them by hand laying on his belly of the side of the dock. pretty funny stuff

Little pigeon river in Sevierville is loaded with them, just wade upstream slowly along the edge of the vegetation. I bet I could kill a bunch with a frog gig, they get that close to you.

i know of a place on watts bar that i wade and can hit fish blindfolded. they will knock you down.

If you want to make the trip to Douglas, I'll ask my cousin where the best spots are. He says there are places so thick it is pathetic and he would love for someone to thin them out.

I just don't see that many common carp around here. It's mostly all buffalo. Not that I'm that picky about my trash fish, but the buffs are much harder to catch and don't fight very well.

I like to catch them there on a bread fly!

Right now through June. The water gets too hot after that and the river gets choked by the green slime.

I was at the duck last week and it's loaded with buffs... didn't see a single common carp. Buffs wouldn't bite as usual so I resorted to snagging. Got one in the lip but it came off as I was dragging it up the bank. Fought good.... for a 5 lb buff.... which isn't saying much.
