oiling the trigger assembly on my 270

Is there such a thing as too much oil? After spraying the trigger assembly heavily with Gun Blast, when oiling the trigger assembly...is it ok to oil all areas inside and out heavily, then just let it "drain" and wipe off as much as possible? Or is this too much and will lead to gumming up? Do I need to take the trigger assembly apart or is my method ok?

Spray it with a degreaser and leave it that way. Oil just serves to collect problems.

the best thing i have found to clean and lubricate a trigger assembly is lighter fluid. the kind with naptha in it. a couple of after market trigger manf. also recommend it. just squirt it all over, shake and let dry. it will leave a very thin film of lube without gumming up. also depending on your trigger, you will need a VERY small amount of moly at the sear contact point.
