Ohio update

Hung our stands yesterday on public land at 2 pm. Got out of there for the evening but drove by looking the fields over at dusk and a guy had parked where we was and likely hunting were we hung our stands. No biggie it's public land. Well we get there this morning and my stand being the farthest and deepest into this area has had the lock cable cut and is gone! Sorry ass thieves! 6 hours from home and gotta go buy another stand. on the bright note I did have a 130ish inch 8 pt at 16 yards while on the ground but he busted me drawing back and scooted outta there. Rant over

dang that sucks! nothing will make up for a stolen stand but maybe you will get a big buck and help ease the pain some.

This is what I dread about hunting public land for the first time in my 44 years; having to carry everything in and out every trip and not having static stands and such set up before hand.

Nothing worse than a thief!

I had my camo gear bag stolen while up there 2 years ago. Had it well hidden, or so I thought, in some brush well off of where I was dropped off. 2 cameras, change of clothes, boots, knives, etc.. all gone. I really think the locals prey on out of staters some times. A friend of mine had his deer hauler stolen.

were here with the gf family and they been coming 7 years and never had anything bothered. Just had the right piece of yugo walk by I guess. But I'm not letting that ruin the hunt no sense crying over spilled milk. Dipped into my she money and bought another stand gonna try to bust one in the am. Seen a decent little 6 point chasing a doe this morning but little to small. He got a pass. Waiting on Mr big
