Last year I completely missed any rutting action but I saw a bunch of deer and let several 125" bucks walk. This year all I have pics of are small bucks and a few does with the exception of a 140"er and I'm not seeing anything from the stand. You don't see much rutting action when you don't see deer. I'm not used to typing these words. It's early so things ought to get better. I hope so. I can't take 2 years of this crap.

Might be time to move to another location. Sometimes you dont have to move far to get into the action.

I too very seldom ever see any chasing or grunting. Last year I witnessed for the first time a buck work/make a scrape and a buck chasing a doe.

I'm in the same boat... Only having access to hunt 40 acres you can only move around so much... I have several studs on camera but they have been gone since Halloween weekend.. And I'm picky about what I shoot and passed up a few 2.5 y/o bucks...

Deader than a hammer at my place Mike. Rut started early at my place it seems, and could be on lockdown now bc between my cousin and me, we only saw 3, and that was just me! Little button and some doe yearlings.

I think most of the breeding happened when we had the full moon and the cooler temps at the same time. Now is the time to catch them looking for the leftovers. I am speaking of the middle of middle Tn though. I know it is different for each region. We have such a large number of does it usually provides a better chance at a mature deer after peak breeding if weather is right.
