Best of luck to anyone who hasn't connected yet... now is the time, deer are still alive, and not many people are in the woods...

My son got one during youth hunt. I haven't seen a deer in the woods since muzzleloader. Really getting discouraged. Next Saturday is all I have left!

After 42 years of very intense deer hunting had had one of my most memorable seasons with no big buck down. I think as I've got older I enjoy the hunt more than the kill. I've seen more bucks this season than I can ever remember and I think the age class structure of the herd is fantastic. I spent the best morning with my grandson when he took his first deer and it has been a blast. Congradulations on all who have taken deer but I'd bet I've had just as much enjoyment as you, already dreaming about next year's fall.

I haven't killed one. Been a few times by myself and trying to learn a new lease. Seen some deer just haven't pulled the trigger. My son (9) killed one during the muzzleloader and since then have been trying to get the big 6 we've seen a few times at my in laws for him. It will be his first buck ever. Seeing all kinds of does and yearlings but not the 6. Saw a 4-pt last night and gave him the green light but he wanted to wait. Went again tonight and saw 9 but no buck. Going back tomorrow afternoon. This weekend I'll be solo at the lease and hopefully something goes down then.

I feel embarrassed but also the need to vent. While I feel that I am a good hunter, I freely admit that I have been very blessed/lucky in my deer hunting. I've got a 140 class 10 pt mounted and have killed a deer pretty much every year since I was 10 in KY where the gun season is only 10-14 days. This is my first year to hunt in TN and I am hunting land owned by family friends thats about 150 acres and I'm just baffled. Buck sign everywhere, counted 47 rubs on a 4 wheeler trip around the property, and I've seen exactly 3 deer all year! Friend killed a nice 10 pt out there and more rubs appeared afterwards, so know there is another.

This week will be my last week.

Don't know if you are riding a fourwheeler in or not, but if you are try walking in. I have better success walking than when taking my wheeler. JMO, your mileage may vary.

iv hunted 3 times dad went about 14 times only seen a doe on public land here in east tn all the deer iv seen has been on private land and no one will let you hunt them dad seen a nice buck going in the mountain before day break in someones yard but nothing for either of us

Between work, an almost out of hand kitchen remodel, sick elderly inlaws...this season has been a total wash.....except maybe for that coyote she dog I took out on opening day of muzzle loader....if that counts.

I've killed 4 but the last one was the 2nd week of November. seems like forever ago so I feel like I should be on this list. Have had Plenty of deer just out of bow range or marginal bucks within range. Had a nice 8 pt at 60 yds last night walking towards me but stopped and feed for a minute then turned and walked away. the story of my season so far.

I have hunted alot this year and only saw two shooters. They were together the first Sunday of the season, so needless to say it has been a long, frusterating season.

Skunked so far this year, been a long while since that has happened. Got this coming weekend though, fingers crossed. At least my wife put one in the freezer for use durring ML.

not yet. but I have hunted deer maybe 3 times since duck season opened! Still hoping to go somewhere and shoot a couple slick heads.
