Back in the summer, I said I thought she would field dress 140-pounds. On the scales, she hit 138. Either way, big fat doe. Maybe pics later if my P.O.S. camera worked. I forgot the big one.
Passed up two bucks, one, a 4-pt, I swear is this year's fawn. The other, big 5 is maybe going to be a dandy. Shot the doe, dropped her in her tracks, bucks came up at 5 and 15 minutes later. Best buck bait in the world, a dead doe.
Also had a yote and a big black house cat come by. Could not get the rifle gun around quick enough on the yote and the cat had one of those flea collars on so I gave shim a pass.
Got to go to Father-in-law funeral now. Too much dang hugging. Don't like huggin with my clothes on.
Oh, BTW-That is deer number 36 from that stand in 14-years. I believe it is in a good place.
