For the past month and half I've been averaging 500 pics a week with 95% being bucks. Kinda wondered where all the does were. Last week when I pulled the card I dumped 30 gallon barrel of apples out. Not a single one left. Looked at the pics ALL DOES. Have the does ran them off or what? How do the bucks go from killing the trophy rock everyday to not at all. The does are still hitting the rock.

Antlers have finished growing and mineralization/calcification has begun. That's a dramatic difference in dietary need.
 
What do they turn towards when that's the case? I noticed that their velvet was looking thinner when the bucks were there last. I glassed 2 of the big ones out in the kudzu feeding at 215pm last week. It's only 150yrds from my camera but they didn't show up there any. If they don't need calcium they wouldn't grunge on a lot of protein this time of y ear would they? Acorns haven't fallen yet.

I shift all my cameras to clover and late soybean food plots. In fact, I'm in the process of doing that now.
 
We usually get pics of deer over salt until mid september. Then I move them to field edges until around mid-end of October or whenever the scrapes start appearing. Then they are moved over real and mock scrapes
