I pass by a food plot planted in corn on my way to work. It is on a property that has powerlines running through it and the food plot is planted under the lines in the Right-of-Way. I have noticed that the corn towards the middle, also where the powerlines run, is taller than the corn towards the sides of the R-o-W. Could the electricity charge from the lines be doing something to stimulate growing or would it most likely be the middle gets more sun vs. the sides due to the shade of the woods from the morning and afternoon sun?
 
Could have something to do with the vegetation on the sides pulling the nutrients from the ground along the edge. This competition will cause stunted growth in row crops,

Might have to do with shade. In my garden, the corn is about twice as tall where it gets the most sun. Every spot is different
