Haven't got a quota for there in a long time. December is when I've seen the biggest of bucks out there. I put in for it every year but must be harder to get than it use to.

I was on the archery zone all day. Antlerless only for me, and wouldn't ya know had a nice 6 point walk right into shooting range. Figures. If it were buck only I'd have been covered up in doe. Didn't see a doe all day except after dark driving out of there crossing the road.

My best friend got a real nice buck in the archery zone. He was a 4 1/2yo 9 point that weighed 106lbs. He reminded me of the old saying, "he looked like a nightcrawler with the crap slung out of it". Anyway he saw 2-3 does (which saw him draw and spooked), a small 8 point (that he missed with a deflection, and the nice buck that he killed. He was on a ridge just above a steep hollow. They funneled right by him.
