went to the highest peak on the ridgeline this morning. not one single gobble in any direction. a buddy killed on there yesterday. had a 12" beard!

We have 3 different gobble first thing Saturday. My Uncle killed one Saturday morning. 21.7lbs. 10 1/2 beard with 1 1/4 spurs. I missed one 5-10 minutes later. It was working in fine, then decided to cut up the ridge. I don't know why. I took a shot, but when I paced it off it appeared to be 55 yards. I thought it was a touch closer but the Longbeards and that distance didn't work. Sunday I did 4-5 setups in the same general area and never heard one gobble.
