Looking for a little help, I drew then Oak Ridge archery quota hunt for 11-12 November in zone 2. I have never hunted Oak Ridge before so just looking for a little guidance for a good area if anyone has hunted it before. Searched google maps and it looks pretty thick, I am going to try to make it over in October when they let you go scout but not sure if I will be able to make it. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Look for smaller isolated parcels. Or areas where safety zones may be close by. Good luck. Just my opinion, but no way would I drive from Clarksville without a spot picked out.

Well I have family that lives about 20 minutes away in Clinton so I will be staying with them. So not a huge deal about the drive. I am definitely going to try to get over for the day for scouting though.

JeepKuntry cool man thanks a lot. I am going to ask my uncle also he works at the ORNL. He doesn't really hunt anymore but I am sure he sees them all the time also. I was just trying to get some first hand knowledge from someone that has actually hunted the area. If you are ever up here to hunt Fort Campbell let me know and I will try to help you out. I have been stationed up here and hunting it since 1997.

There are thick areas but the majority of the acreage is mature open timber. There are fields and overgrown fields also. The only places I see a ton of deer are safety zone or badged only honestly.

Pickett well even if I do not get anything there it will be good to hunt something different besides Fort Campbell, not that there are not a ton of deer and some pretty big ones here, its just nice to go someplace else. Plus I will get to spend some time with my family so that is always nice. Thanks for the info though.
