Oak ridge dec 13-14 hunt

Anybody going to hunt the oakridge archery hunt next weekend? Went scouting in rain this morning. Saw several well used trails and fresh dropping from last night. First time hunting there. Can't seem to get off any road more than 300 to 400 yds without finding another road same distance away. I'm use to hunting a lot deeper in the woods. Does it matter there.

I'll be there. All the sign I found was within 500 yards of the road. Found a good trail leading out a thicket and found a good spot where it led to several trail junctions

Diehard Hunter and I scouted the gun zone today. We found good sign but we also found several hunters in the same areas.. I was surprised at how many people got out in the rain today.

I a might add that I will be hunting less than 100 yards from a major highway again!

Seen few vehicles but respectfully kept driving till I wasn't on top of someone. Ended up finding a good spot for me and bumped a hoss with 2 does while scouting for dad

Do any of you all get to hunt the "badged only" or whatever you call them areas? Just wondering if they are much better than the other areas since I can access them if I ever put in for the hunts.

If you have access to them then you should be putting in! There are some monsters in those areas and they get very little pressure. Most people that get drawn done have a badge!
