Another rifle that was in the lot I bought is a Remington Nylon 66. Still has the factory sticker on the side. Also has a weaver scope from the same period, 1969. Any idea what these things are worth in near new condition? Mohawk Brown, btw.
 
I've seen them go for $100 up to $600!!!! If it's new, you should be able to get $400 for it pretty easy. Not too bad for a gun which probably sold for $50 back then.
 
No chrome. Brown woodgrain and blue. I almost didn't even take it with me when I bought the lot. Figured it was junk. Turns out it's a pretty good rifle.
 
I will give ya 100 bucks for it. For whatever reason, coonhunters love em. I bought one a couple years ago in mint condition for 65 bucks. Like has already been stated, they sell from 100 to 400 or so, I havent had any dealings with any of em selling for much over 150 or so though personally.

Apache black was the one with the chrome on it. I tried to talk a buddy of mine out of his mohawk brown a couple of years ago but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. I used to have a couple of Remington catalogs I got from my Uncle advertising the Nylon 66s and one of the drawings I remember was a salmon fisherman using the Nylon 66 to shoot a seal out of his nets from the boat, pretty cool.
 
I used to have one which I gave to my son. I got it from my ex-father-in-law. It was a green stock. Most of what I see is either black or brown...
I used to take head-shots on squirrels with iron sights with that gun_
Ah, those were the days!
 
Hard to believe those things are bringing that kind of money. I always thought they were kinda junky looking. My brother-in-law has one and we used to shoot together and swap out guns and my Marlin 60 was always more accurate no matter who was shooting them.
