Anyone notice that it is the same weekend as Valentine's day.....only 6 weeks away, how much money will you spend....planning on taking my whole family for a day, maybe even get a hotel in the area....
 
It was that weekend last year too. I hardly buy anything there, what I want I cant afford. A hotel would be nice for the family, if u like Mexican food i would eat at Soleras or whatever its called in the hotel.

Plan on going and picking up a few new calls from the David Holloran line. Plus I got $100.00 bass pro card I plan on getting a new red dot sight for my gun I broke mine this year.

Few buds of mine are thinking of driving down I've never been to this just heard story's from friends experiences going last year.
 
I just found out that due to my JROTC marksmanship team qualifying for Regionals.....that is where I will be for the weekend, I guess that means I will save money by not going buying all the things that look fun to play with!

Congrats on that! The convention happens yearly so dont fret it, plus youll have extra cash come turkey season!

The only reason it was a big deal was my youngest son had expressed an interest in going, I may ask my father in law to take him. I find it ironic that I lived in Clarksville for 5 years...but could only attend once due army duties
 
I used to work close by and would run over on Friday. Haven't been in probably 5 or 6 years now. Its a fairly good show but I get tired of listening to all the calls going nonstop.
 
It's a good show, I go every year.

If you are looking for a custom call you can usually get a good deal on one at the custom call making contest, there are so many callmakers entering that you can find some nice custom calls at a good price. They auction them off after the contest and you can run each of them to see what you like. The award winning calls go pretty high but the compition is so good that there are many calls that don't place that can be purchased at a good price and sound great.

Saturday gets pretty crowded in the exhibition hall.
 
My neighbors and me go each year if the Lords willing.I wonder if you join at the convention,will they be giving Bass Pro gift cards like they did last year?

Yeah they normally give the BP cards each year to folks that join at the convention, I always wait and renew at the convention.

That is what i'm gonna do this year.I have been joining each year before the convention and I get a knife as a gift but I have two already.
 
well since my student's didn't want to practice to go to Regionals for Air Rifle.....I will be home for the weekend!!! Taking the whole family...not sure about the wife yet...inlaws are keeping the kids for the night, and the wife and I are going to go to Dave/Busters afterwards.
