Haven't seen these before...found them around a huge scrape and rub. Looked like a few of them had been eaten...? Any idea as to what they are? Located in North Davidson Co

Yea yeah I here y'all making jokes. From what I've read the deer don't care much for burr oaks even though they are in the white oak subspecies...

That's correct. I have seen them walk through them and not even act like they see them.

I have found a lot of deer droppings under burr oaks, but at the same time it was in a deer dense area with a lot of bedding cover. So I'm not sure if they were eating the acorns or not.

Not the favorite but they will eat them just like they will eat Chestnut oak acorns when they are best available.
