Our lease set up and pictures we've been getting.
We have 6 food plots, none of them had much done to them for the summer because our area has so much browse in the woods it is a waste of $$$.
1 month ago I set up two cams. Both were in a corner overlooking the food plots.
I've been going out once a week with a 50lb bag of corn and putting in front of camera.
So far we've gotten TONS of does, fawns and spikes on the cam. 1 small 4 or 6 pt.
I see the pictures from last year of the harvested deer on our place and there a few very nice bucks.
Couple of the guys said they don't start moving much until the browse is dead and the food plots are in full swing. That's when you'll start getting the big boys on the cam.
I recently said the heck with it... went deep back in the woods with a cam, 50 lbs of apples, and a bag-r-buck mineral lick. Also put up a climber about 25yrd from it.
It's VERY thick woods with a 6' creek bed about 5 yrds from the apples that have TONS of tracks.
Think I got a better chance of catching a bigger buck on cam than at the food plot?
