I have a throw and grow mini plot In my woods and the deer won't touch it. It's very green and quite tall. They just walk by about 35 yards away and act like its not even there. Does anyone know what the problem is? It's been there since the first week of bow season
 
I have the same thing at my place... With a million Oaks around, they aren't using it now. They'll be at it later more than likely
 
Spent three days with my dad around my farm hunting food plots and have never seen it so quite. I did see four deer deep in one hollow one morning but that was it. From the exclusion zones on the rye, wheat and oats I can see that they have been getting hit but not nearly what they were last year. And they haven't even touched the standing corn yet.

Too warm. Not in rut yet, Too much browse and too many acorns in the woods.

We have plenty of acorns and deer are definately feeding on them, but they are using plots as well. It's weird to see how the deer differ on food preference just on our place. We've got some plots that the deer are eating the clover and ignoring the brassica. On other's it exactly the opposite in that they are walking thru the clover to get to the brassica planted in the middles. Have one plot that has a few white oaks in it with acorns on ground; clover in it is about 10" tall and the deer ignore both when they enter plot and go straight to the Daikon radish's...
 
I've had lots of plots over the years that deer never eat. More than 50% of my plots get disked up in the Spring/Summer and are never touched by a deer. My deer have too many other choices I guess?!

Did you bush hog any of it? Mine is still standing and it hasn't been touched. Thinking about whacking some of it down.
 
They are wearing our clover, brassica & turnips out in all 37 plots. In several of the plots they have eaten all the leaves from the Daiken Radishes and are now pulling the turnips up eating.

We did not have many red oak acorns this year, and the white ones are now starting to sprout.
