2020 polaris general winch quit taken in figured switch check good move to relay good then take off contractor open it up and found water and a rusty mess . So question why would they put contactor right on top of winch? Seems to be a common failure. Was no saving contact ordered new one got to looking and decided to move it under the hood used the shot cables for main hot and ground from contact to winch used the long power and ground cables for the controls rewired the switch plug from were winch mounts adding wire to run up to under hood now it is in a dry spot figured would post on here might save someone some money if they go ahead and move there's before there's fail

What brand winch is it ? I have had a Warn on my 4 wheeler for years without any problem.
